Elk NetworkMeet Your Newest Regional Director

General , Volunteer Newsletter | September 16, 2024

Name: Josh Flynn

State/Region: Eastern Nebraska/South Dakota

Family (two-legged or four): Just me as of now. I’m fresh out of college, so I still have plenty of time!

Favorite outdoor activities: I’m a passionate outdoorsman and enjoy hunting waterfowl, turkey, deer and eventually elk (once I draw a tag). Outside of hunting, I enjoy fishing, wildlife photography/videography and golfing. As long as I’m outside, I’m happy.

Goals for your state/region: I look forward to continuing relationships with my current chapters and committees. As far as growth, I’m looking to starting some college chapters, as I was heavily involved in a waterfowl organization in college at K-State, where I started a chapter and led successful events before passing it onto younger committee members when I graduated. I would also like to grow eastern Nebraska, starting with Lincoln and Columbus, then Grand Island/Kearney.

Why did you want to work for RMEF: RMEF stood out to me because of its dedication to the hunter. The public land access initiative that RMEF stands for is very interesting and beneficial to all outdoorsmen and women. Though I’m not a lifelong elk hunter, being from Kansas, RMEF was an organization that stood out from the start. I think that RMEF is appealing to not only elk hunters, but outdoorsmen in general, as well as hunters of other game animals that live in elk range.
