Good news! Six weeks after the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Fix Our Forests Act, the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry scheduled a hearing on the bill for March 6.
The Fix Our Forests Act includes a provision to fix the 2015 Cottonwood decision, which impedes active forest management that enhances wildlife habitat, reduces the risk of catastrophic wildfires and improves overall forest health.
This measure has been and is still the top federal legislative priority for RMEF.
There is good momentum to make this happen. Please click here to urge your senators to support conservation, wildlife and forest management by voting to approve the Fix Our Forests Act.
