Washington: Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge Work Party

  • May 9-10, near Cheney, WA
  • Volunteers will remove 2.5 miles of wire and metal posts to help the movement of elk, moose and deer

Washington: Mt. St. Helens Mudflow Work Party

  • May 9-10, near Toutle, WA
  • Work parties to remove/treat Scotch Broom and place cages around small shrubs on the Mudflow, a massive open space the majority of the St. Helens Herd used for winter range

Washington: Oak Creek Wildlife Area Work Party

Montana: Flathead Valley Work Day

  • May 15 near Kalispell, MT
  • Help the Montana Bowhunter Education Foundation clean out deadfall, trees and overgrown weeds on its site to clear the way for future construction an indoor shooting range

Washington: Asotin Work Party

  • May 30-June 1 near Asotin, WA at the 4-O Ranch
  • Remove three miles of old fencing, build buck-n-rail fence to protect an aspen grove and clean/repair water guzzlers
  • Dry camping is available for all volunteers.

Montana: Flathead Ridge Ranch Workday

  • May 31 near Kalispell, MT on Flathead Ridge Ranch
  • Remove fencing that impedes animal movement on private property near the top of Brown Meadow Pass, which does allow firewood cutting, camping and public hunting in coordination with FWP

South Dakota/Nebraska: Summer Rendezvous Work Project

  • June 6-8 at Custers Gulch Campground in Custer, SD (project site is 10 miles away)
  • Crews will plant 10,000 willow tree seedlings to reestablish a wetland marsh area on the former Meeker Creek Ranch

Michigan: RMEF Work Project

  • June 14 near Atlanta, MI
  • Remove an outbuilding, trash and plant trees on recently purchased state parcels within the Atlanta Forest Management Unit

  • Work with the US Forest Service to remove fencing and other materials near McCarty Creek in the first outing of a multi-year project

  • Dismantle 2+ miles of old fencing in the Western Pass Fire scar to aid wildlife movement
